“We play for you, Valencia”
Cristhian Mosquera, Javi Guerra and Diego López will compete with Spain's Under-21 side
Toni Lato talked to VCF Media after a 0-0 draw between Valencia CF and Cádiz CF.
Good work
I think we deserved more. Cádiz did practically nothing to us in terms of attack. We knew it was going to be a game like this, that they were going to close up and try to take advantage of our mistakes. We were good with that, but we have to push ourselves and today we dropped two points. This is the path to follow and we must continue to improve.
Proud of the team
I'm proud of the team. If you can't win, then you have to keep a clean sheet and take the draw. The team searched for the win to the end. You have to be ambitious. We leave here with a slightly bitter taste, because I think we dropped two points.
A lack of effectiveness
I think that we lacked finishing in the final metres. I think that the team are working well and that this is the way forward. We dropped two points today, which leaves a bit of a bitter taste in our mouths.
The international break
We have 12 points and a feeling that we've maybe deserved a few more points before the international break. Now we're going to focus on resting this week, then -after the international break- the games that are coming up. The first is against FC Barcelona, and we will be able to bring back important players. We have to keep going in the same way and continue improving.
